This tutorial was written using PSP X.
    Similar results can be obtained in lower versions but will be slightly
    different.
 
    Although my tutorials are my own creations, they are almost always
    inspired by seeing so many beautiful creations in many groups.
    Any similarities are truly the effects of viewing, using and enjoying the
    tutorials written by many others.
    I encourage you to use other supplies and to experiment with
    different settings to create something of your own.
 
Skill Level - Intermediate
 
Filter Needed:
      I.C.Net Software > Filters Unlimited 2 HERE
        (or you may use any canvas texture)
         Install filter if needed.

      DJ Love font or font of your choice
 
      A silver,gold or pearl pattern of your choice.

  1.  File > Open    heart.jpeg
       Window > Duplicate     You may close original now
       Layers > Promote Background Layer
 
       Image > Canvas Size
           Settings: Width 668, Height 432, Left Center Arrow
       Layers > Duplicate
       Image > Mirror
       Layers > Merge > Merge Down
 
  2.  File > Open   V_VALENTINETOAST5.tub
                                or main tube of your choice
       Window > Duplicate      You may close tube now
 
       (I am using shades of orchid for my graphic.  If you wish
         to use the shades from the tube or another color,
         you do not need to do some of the following steps. 
         If using a different color, just adjust some steps to go with
         your chosen color.)
 
        If your chosen tube has additional layers of credits or
        watermarks, please delte those now.  You still have the
        original for adding credits later.
 
      Adjust > Color Balance    (for PSPX)
        (For other versions of PSP, adjust color as you
          normally do.)
            Settings: Smart White Balance
                              Move slider left to shades of choice
     
 
        Set your Materials palette to two shades from your tube.
        I am using #e0a4e8 for foreground and #b046b5 for the
        background color.  Minimize the tube for now and return
        to main image.
 
  3.  Layers > New Raster Layer
       Left click to Flood Fill new layer with your light color
       Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom
 
       In Layers Palette, select Raster 1
           Settings: Blend Mode - Soft Light, Opacity 50 to 60%
       Effects > Edge Effects > Enhance
       Layers > Merge > Merge Down
 
       Effects > Plugins > I.C. Net Software >
       Filters Unlimited 2.0 > Paper Textures > Canvas, Fine
            Settings: 100, 87
 
 4.   Maximize your tube.
       Edit > Copy   You may close your tube now.
       Edit > Paste As New Layer onto your main image
       Image > Resize     Settings: 135%, Bicubic
              Lock Aspect Ratio checked, All Layers unchecked
       Use Move Tool to move to lower left with leaves  touching     
          the edge. 
 
       Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel
             Settings:  Bevel #2, 8, 0, 1, 0, 0, White, 315, 50, 30
       Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow
             Settings:  5, -15 (minus), 50, 30, black
                                Shadow on new layer not checked
 
  5.  File > Open         heart.pspimage
       Edit > Copy         You may close this now
       Edit > Paste as New Layer
 
       Use Move Tool to move to upper left.
       Layers > Duplicate
       Layers > Merge Down
 
       Layers > Duplicate
       Image > Mirror
       Use Move Tool to move it up higher into the corner.
           Refer to my example for placement.
 
  6.  File > Open         pearls.pspimage
       Edit > Copy         You may close this now
       Edit > Paste as New Layer
 
       Use Move Tool to move to the right of wine glass.
       In Layers Palette, Setting: Blend Mode - Soft Light
                              
  7.  This step and step 8 are steps where I hope you will be  
        creative and use some of the wonderful heart images
        made by Patao.  All can be colorized.
        Most of the parts are interchangeable and you can mix and
        match as you please.  The diamond/pearl frames fit the 
        heart  images.
        If you are not adding text, you have a lot of room to play!!
        I'll give instructions for what I did.
 
        File > Open   ValentineHearts_2010_patao.pspimage
        Window > Duplicate     You can close the original
 
         In Layer Palette select Purple Heart 
         Edit > Copy
         Edit > Paste As New Layer onto your main image
 
         Back to Valentine Hearts
         In Layer Palette select Open Diamond Heart
         Edit > Copy
         Edit > Paste As New Layer onto your main image
         Layers > Merge > Merge Down
         Use Move Tool to move to the lower right side
 
         Image > Resize       Setting: 85%, same settings
         Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
         Image > Resize        Setting: 75%
         Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
 
   8.   Back to Valentine Hearts
         In Layer Palette select TransHeartGrn
         Edit > Copy
         Edit > Paste As New Layer onto your main image
 
         Back to Valentine Hearts
         In Layer Palette select Open Cream Heart
         Edit > Copy
         Edit > Paste As New Layer onto your main image
         Layers > Merge > Merge Down
 
         Layers > Arrange > Move Down
         Image > Resize           Setting:75%
         Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
         Image > Resize        Setting: 75%
         Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
         Image > Resize         Setting: 75%
         Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
         Use Move Tool to move above and to right of first heart
 
         Add additional layers of hearts as you wish and close that
             tube when you are finished with it.
 
            Note:If you prefer a narrower taller header, now is the time
         to change your dimensions.  If you do so, you will need to
         also adjust some of the framing steps.  You can shut off any
         layers you don't want resized.
            Example: Resize your image to 600 x 475 pixels.
                          Lock Aspect Ratio unchecked
          If you choose to resize it will look like this:
         
 
 
   9.   Image > Add Borders
               Settings: 2 pixels, symmetric, your dark color
         Selections > Select All
         Selections > Modify > Contract      Setting: 2 pixels
          Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout
                Settings: 0, 0, 100, 10, Black
         Selections > Select None
 
         Image > Add Borders
               Settings: 4 pixels, White
         Magic Wand - Select your border
 
         In Materials Palette change foreground to a silver pattern.
                Settings: 0, 100
         Flood Fill your border with silver
         Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel
                 Settings: Bevel #2, 1, 20, 6, 3, 15
                                    White, 315, 35, 50
                                   
         
         Selections > Select None
 
10.     Image > Add Borders
                Settings: 35 pixels, your dark color
 
          Use Magic Wand to select your border.
 
          Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel
                 Settings:  Bevel #2, 10, 20, 2, 2, 20,
                                   White, 315, 45, 30
                  
          Selections > Select None
 
          Image > Add Borders
               Settings: 4 pixels, White
          Magic Wand - Select your border
          Flood Fill your border with silver
          Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel 
               Setting:  Click on Default arrow
          Selections: Select None
              Optional: If you are going to make a letter background,
                         set your Selection Tool on Square and
                         make a square selection from  your image similar
                         to this of the pearls.
                   
 
        Edit > Copy and Selections >Select None on main image.
        Edit > Paste As New Image and minimize for later use.
 
11.  File > Open    GDcorner26-1.PspTube
       Window > Duplicate       and close original
       Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Colorize
              Settings:  207, 153 
                                 or the numbers of your chosen light color
 
       Edit > Copy and minimize
       Edit > Paste as New Layer    onto your main image
       Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
       Use Move Tool to move to upper left corner
 
       Layers > Duplicate
       Image > Mirror
       Layers > Merge > Merge Down
       Layers > Duplicate
       Image > Flip
 
12.  Maximize the corner.
       Set your Selection Tool back to Rectangle  
       Make a selection like this from the upper
                 right edge.
               
       Edit > Copy   You may close this corner tube now.
       Edit > Paste as New Layer      onto your main image
       Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
             Move this layer to the bottom part of frame next to the
                        corner on the left.
       Layers > Duplicate
       Image > Mirror
            Remember that if you resized your image at Step 8
            you may need to adjust the following steps.
 
       Layers > Duplicate and move  a little to the left
       Layers > Duplicate
       Image > Mirror
 
       Activate Copy of Raster 2
       Layers > Merge > Merge Down
       Layers > Duplicate
       Image > Flip
 
13.  File > Open      HD_PearlAccents_    _
             FreshWaterCulteredPotato_VintageColors
       File > Open       PearlinesAccents~V.pspimage
 
          Note:  These two tubes are for you to add additional
                      trimming to your frame if you want to.
                      Below is how I used them.
 
        Choose a pearl you want to use from first tube above
         I chose Raster 6. 
        Edit > Copy    You may close this now
        Edit > Paste as New Layer   onto your main image
       
        Image > Resize       Setting: 35%, same settings
        Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
 
        Move to your top border
        Layers > Duplicate  3  times until you have 4 pearls
        Use Move Tool to move into place on the border
 
        Choose an accent you want to use from the second tube
        I chose the Pearl Drop.
        Edit > Copy
        Edit > Paste as New Layer  onto your main image
               and use Move Tool to move to top border as in example.
        Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
 
14.  Add Text of your choice.
        The font used in example is included in supplies.
        Layers > Merge Visible
        Layers > New Raster Layer   Add your watermark.
        Layers > Merge Visible   and resize if you wish
        File > Export > JPEG Optimizer  
           Do not close if making a background
 
        Image > Rotate Right
        Selection Tool - Make a selection like this
          
         Edit > Copy
         Edit > Paste As New Image    
               You may close your main image now.
     
                 
15.  BACKGROUND
 
        Image > Canvas Size
              Settings:  Width same as Original Dimension
                                 Double the original height shown at top
                                 Top Center Arrow
        Layers > Duplicate
        Image > Flip
        Layers > Merge > Merge Down
 
        Image > Canvas Size
              Settings:  Double the original Width shown at top
                                 Height same as original
                                 Left center arrow
        Layers > Duplicate
        Image > Mirror
        Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
             Optional:  You may do a Seamless tile of your
                                 choice for a different look.
 
16.   Image > Canvas Size
                Setting: Change Width to 1650 or what you wish to use.
                                 Left center arrow
 
        Maximize the pattern you copied at Step 10.
        Image > Resize
                   Settings:  200 x 200 pixels
                                    
        Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling   - Default
        Minimize.  Set as your pattern in Materials Palette
                           Settings: 0, 100
 
        Layers > New Raster Layer
        Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom
        Flood Fill with your pattern
        Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling
                Settings:  Edge, Vertical
 
            Note: You may add a layer of your light color and reduce
                       opacity to your liking.
 
        Add a Drop Shadow to your border if you wish.
        Layers > Merge > Merge Visible
        File > Export > JPEG Optimizer
