This tutorial was written using PSP X.

Similar results can be obtained in lower versions but will be slightly

    different.

It was written in "split screen" format so that
you can work on the tutorial with PSP open on one
side of your screen and the tutorial on the other side.

I encourage you to use other tubes to make your own creation.

Although my tutorials are my own creations, they are almost always

inspired by seeing so many beautiful creations in many groups.

Any similarities are truly the effects of viewing, using and enjoying the

    tutorials written by many others.

I encourage you to use other supplies and to experiment with

different settings to create something of your own.

                 GG09~LadyOnPillows_001   (by GranGran)

                 zv mask   (shared mask)

A texture of your choice (optional for background)

Preparation:

     Install filters if needed

Put mask in your mask folder for PSP

 1.  Open GG09~LadyOnPillows_001 in PSP

If using a different tube choose one similar in size

and preferably not a misted tube

      This tube is 450x438.

Window > Duplicate and close the original

        Activate the tube layer

Choose 2 colors from your tube

A light to medium color for your foreground and a medium

to dark color for your background

      I used #d09cb9 and #984da7

Choose a 3rd color from your tube to be used for a Wave

effect on the frame.  Write this color # down for later use.

Minimize your tube for later use

Set your background to foreground/background gradient

Settings: Linear, Angle 132, Repeats 10

                          Invert not checked

 2.  File > New

Settings:  Width 600, Height 475, Transparent checked

Use your Flood Fill Tool to fill with your gradient

Effects > Plugins > VM Distortion > Mosaic Ripple

            Settings: 22, 176

      Repeat Mosaic Ripple

          Settings: Change Size to 5

Effects > Plugins > dsb flux > Linear Transmission

         Settings: 9, 10, 50, Horizontal

Effects > Edge Effects > Enhance

 3.  Layers > New Raster Layer

In Materials Palette, click on your background gradient

to open it and click on Invert

Use your Flood Fill Tool to fill layer with gradient

Layers > Load/Save Mask > Load Mask from Disk

                       Choose zv mask

Settings: Select Source luminance, Fit to canvas,

Hide all mask;   Invert NOT checked

Layers > Merge > Merge Group

For color, choose your light color

Effects > Texture Effects > Weave

          Setting: Click on Default Arrow

Effects > Edge Effects > Enhance

Effects > Distortion Effects > Twirl

          Setting: 50

      Edit > Repeat Twirl

 6.   Maximize your tube

Edit > Copy and minimize again

       Effects > 3D Effects > Inner bevel

           Settings: Bevel #2, 8, 0, 1, 0, 0, White, 315, 50, 30

Note:  This is a "puffing" bevel and does not work

well on some tubes.  You may change the

bevel to one of your choice.

       Edit > Repeat Inner Bevel

       Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Setting: Click on Preset Drop Down List

                          Select -  Above wide right

                          (-30 (minus), 70, 50, 30, black)

(Note: Reposition if you wish.  I moved tube down)

      Image > Add Borders

          Settings: 40 pxs, White, Symmetric

Use your Magic Wand to select the border

Use your Flood Fill Tool to fill with the gradient

(During testing, some testers had to add a new layer

             before filling)

Effects > Plugins > Simple > Top Left Mirror

8.    Note: The next two effects may need adjustment for

                  PSP9 or lower versions

If using older versions, go to notes below

                 under the  two screenshots

Effects > Distortion Effects > Wave

          Settings: 3, 100, 0, 1, Transparent

Note: Your wave should not have any additional

color added to it.  If it does, select the default

and then reset the above settings.

Effects >  Distortion Effects > Wave

For the color, choose the 3rd color you chose

at the beginning.  Be sure to click on Color

            (Screenshot is from another example)

Notes for some versions of PSP

      For the first Wave:

Apply the Wave as in the step above.

Effects > Distortion Effects > Wave

          Settings: 3, 100, 0, 1, Transparent

If your Wave has a color in it or if the wave does not

       extend into your graphic:

         Click on Default setting

Then reset the settings making sure transparent is checked

      For the Second Wave:

Apply the Wave as in the step above

Effects >  Distortion Effects > Wave

Be sure color is checked and choose the 3rd

          color that you chose earlier

Again, if it doesn't look right, click on the default setting

             and reset it again.

The following bevel and drop shadows may look different

than they do in PSP10, but you can still get a nice effect.

9.   Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel ....same settings

      Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

          Settings: 2, 2, 50, 5, black

       Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

          Settings: change to -2 (minus)

      Selections > Select None

      Image > Add Borders

Settings: 2 pxs of your darker color

      Image > Add Borders

           Settings: 1 px of black

Add a layer and apply your watermark

File > Export through JPEG Optimizer at 25

Settings:  Width 1650 or your preference

                              Height 516, Left Center Arrow

       Layers > New Raster Layer

Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

       Use your Flood Fill Tool

to fill this layer with one of your colors

Apply a texture of your choice.

I used Fantastic Machines > Paint Engine
