Frosted Plaid

Supplies needed:  PSP X2, or any version will probably work. . Image of your choice; FM Filters; Simple Filters; Filters Unlimited: Lens Effect: Refractor 2;  Horizonaus Stripes are In.               Use a tube that is no more than 400 pixels tall.  I used a PTU Caron Vinson that I have purchased.

1.  Open your tube, duplicate it twice.  Close your original for safe keeping.  Resize if necessary.  Add a layer, fill with a complimentary color from the tube.  Move down and merge all.

2.  Take one of your images and apply Quick Tile by Simple Filters
3.  Apply Stripes are In by Horizonaus Stripes are In.

4.  Apply Diamonds by Simple Filters
5.  Apply 4 Way Average by Simple Filters

6.  Filters Unlimited: Lens Effects: Refractor 2.  Then apply Blend Emboss by FM Filters. (default setting)  Go to Effects, Image Effects, Seamless.  Now you have to play with this to get it to your liking.  LOL.  Try default or choose another setting.  I used edge, vertical, 50.  Something that will look right when tiled. Tip from Ellie W:  To check if a file is seamless, open a new canvas the same width and twice the length as the tile, find the tile in patterns, and flood fill with the new canvas.  This will show you if you have made your tile seamless or if you have to go back to the drawing board!

7.  Open a new transparent image 1024 wide (or whatever width you choose) and height of your tube.  Place your glass image as a pattern in your palette, and fill with the glass image. To make it text friendly, add a layer with a light color from your tube, lower the opacity to your liking.  Merge all, add Blend Emboss.

8.  Open your tube, and copy and paste into strip as a new layer.  Move to far left, apply shadow of your choice, I used V&H 4, Opacity 50, Blur 25, color Black. Merge all.  Optimize as JPG and you are done.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
